The K20C1 and its turbo
The K20C1 2.0 VTEC TURBO arrived in the FK2 Civic Type R in 2015, and Honda described its turbo as mono-scroll with an electronic wastegate. The same engine continued in the FK8 from 2017 and the FL5 from 2023. Its factory turbo is made by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
The Type R has not appeared in GP Turbos' past listings, so start by sending the turbo's part number and what has been changed on the car. A turbo rebuild returns a turbo to its original specification. A hybrid keeps the original housings and upgrades the internals, and only works as intended with a calibration matched to it.
GP Turbos is independent of Honda. Model names are used only to identify which cars a turbo fits.
