What DTAFast makes
DTAFast describes its business as motorsport engine management. Alongside its standalone ECUs, the range covers dashboards, wiring and connectors, sensors, injectors, ignition coils, fuel pumps and regulators, and power distribution. The company says it designs and builds all of its products in the UK, with UK-based support.
Its current ECU range, the T-series, runs from the T2 to the T12+. DTAFast lists the T4 for engines of up to four cylinders, with fully sequential injection and ignition, and the T8 for up to eight cylinders, with dual wideband lambda control.
DTAFast and a turbocharged build
DTAFast lists built-in boost control for turbocharged and supercharged engines among its ECU features, together with overboost protection, launch control, flex-fuel, knock control and data logging. Its ECUs are for spark-ignition engines running petrol, ethanol or methanol, so they suit modified petrol builds rather than diesels.
In 2020, GP Turbos' website named DTAFast as one of its UK suppliers, and customers could then order DTAFast parts through GP Turbos. What a hybrid turbo delivers always depends on the supporting modifications and the calibration it runs with.
